CCSO at site of area stand-off

🚨 Emergency Response Update, posted approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday:

The Sheriff’s Office and the County Regional Emergency Response Team are currently on scene of a barricaded person on CR 1628 between Jacksonville and Rusk.

The subject is considered armed and dangerous but is believed to be confined inside the residence at this time.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and allow emergency personnel to work. Please do not approach the scene.
