Commissioners’ Court calls Sept. 24 special session to award bids

RUSK – Members of the Cherokee County Commissioners’ Court will convene in a 3:30 p.m. special session, Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Cherokee County Courthouse in Rusk to discuss and consider a brief agenda that focuses on:

• Discussion/possible action on annual bid tabulation received for Fiscal Year 2027 annual needs in the areas of Fuel, Culverts and Hauling and Aggregate that are to be purchased between Oct. 1 and Sept. 20, 2027

• Discussion/consideration of awarding Road Materialsbid for Lateral Road Tax-funded Road Materials that were bid on RFB#2026-03 for items to purchase during Oct. 1 and Sept. 30, 2027

Bids for each will be opened at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
