Sharicia Hinson

Sharicia Hinson, 32, of Rusk, reunited with her beloved husband, Anthony, on August 7, 2026.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2026, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Bro. Martin Holsome officiating. She will be laid to rest at Holleyman’s Chapel Cemetery in Maydelle, Texas.

Visitation will begin Sunday, August 16, 2026, and family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Sharicia was born in New Mexico. She spent her youth between New Mexico and Colorado before moving to Rusk with her husband. She worked for many years as a Care Coordinator for ACCESS in outpatient care. She cherished her moments with her daughter and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Sharicia was an avid reader, whether she was reading a book or listening to an audio book.

Sharicia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Hinson; grandmother, Mary Woody; her sister, Melissa Sylvester and uncle, Gregory Woody.

Left to cherish her memory are father, Darrell Jake of Arizona and mother, Marcia Woody of Rusk; grandfather, Harry Woody of Arizona; daughter, Aurora Hinson of Rusk; and her siblings, Marla Jake of Rusk, Chelsea Jake of South Dakota, Jarrell Jake and wife Ruth of Rusk, Mia Jake of Rusk, Damien Haines of New Mexico, and sisters-in-law, Courtney Hinson and Elaine Hinson of Rusk; and Eric Hinson of New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
