Jimmie Clarence Reece

Jimmie Clarence Reece, 87, of Rusk, passed away Friday May 29, 2026 at UT Health Jacksonville. Services will be held June 4, 2026, at 10 AM at Wallace Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk, with Brother Jack White officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be June 3rd from 6-8 PM at Wallace Thompson Funeral Home.

Jim was born October 31, 1938, in Sweetwater TX and married Alma Charlene Hix on May 28, 1971. He worked in construction and upholstery for many years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of Mt Hope Missionary Baptist Church. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence RD Reece and Hazel Edith Alexander; along with siblings Kenneth Reece, John Reece, Carol Cardwell, Nell Moore, and Florida Gleason.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Alma Charlene Reece; as well as sons Charles, Tracy, RD, Steven, and Kirby Reece; and daughter Terra Loden; his brother Michael Reece; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
