Carol Hudson Hill

A funeral service for Carol Hudson Hill, age 80, of Rusk, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Pastor Rodney McDuff officiating. She will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation will begin Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

She was born on September 25, 1945, to parents Homer Edward Miller and Olga (Foster) Miller and went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026.  

Carol was an avid gardener, and homesteader. She enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and canning whatever she grew. Just as she was a tender of a garden, she also dedicated her life to growing people too. She was a selfless, caring, and kind person who read her Bible morning and night. She cared deeply about her relationship with her God and all of her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Rusk for many years.

Carol Hudson Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Miller and Olga Miller; husband, Charles Edward Hudson Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Hudson; sisters, Velma Ayers, Franscis Waters; and brother, Duane Miller.

 Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her husband of 30 years, 8 months, and two days, Donald Hill; children, Steven Hudson, Bryan Hudson and wife, Toni, and Misti Hill; sister-in-law, Ruth Tehran and husband, Jeronimo; ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Donald Hill, Mike Hill, Jesse Hill, and Bobby Hill.
