Jack Joe Quinn

Jack Joe Quinn, 93, of Rusk, Texas passed away January 26, 2026 in Rusk, Texas. He was born December 20, 1932 in Athens, Texas to Marcus and Flora Quinn.

Jack lived a long and fruitful life of 93 years. He loved to ride horses, trail ride, and fish. He retired from Texas Animal Health Commission Livestock Inspector. 

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 69 years Emily Bess Quinn; his parents Marcus Quinn and Flora Mae Quinn; his sister Charcee Bocell, and brother James Quinn.

He is survived by his daughter Kim and husband Terry (Dip) Goodwin of Carthage; granddaughter Casey Whitehead Watson and husband Josh of Rusk; great grandchildren: Bailey O’Bryan and husband Clancey of Carthage, Blake McAdams and friend David of Houston, Claytan McAdams and friend Jonathon of Houston.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral home, with funeral services held January 31, 2026 beginning at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home. Bro. Brad Turlington officiating.

Pallbearers will be Neill Holcomb, Mike Stanley, Keith Issacs, Brody Norton, and Clancey O’Bryan.

Honorary Pallbearers are Blake McAdams, Claytan McAdams, Stanley Grisham, Jack Carroll, Joe Tucsom. 

Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
