Shane Wayne Lackey went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, surrounded by the people he loved most, his wife, Brandi, and their children, Jacob and Sarah. Born on May 13, 1974, to Clifford and Tina Lackey in Jacksonville, Shane grew up with a heart full of adventure and a mind set on building and creating. Shane graduated from JHS and it was there he met Brandi, the love of his life.
From the beginning, Shane’s hands were never idle. He poured his drive and creativity into his first venture, Auto Shine, and from there, into countless others, selling vehicles, trucking, and construction. Alongside his best friend, he helped shape OneTri Properties, a company known across East Texas for its integrity and craftsmanship. But Shane’s true success was never measured in profit, it was seen in the people he lifted up, the laughter he sparked, and the faith he carried into every corner of his life.
Shane was a devoted husband and father. He and Brandi were a team in every sense, side by side at Jacob and Sarah’s games, practices, and milestones, cheering them on. He loved the water, especially Lake Jacksonville, where he found joy wakesurfing with friends and family. Whether he was playing volleyball or any other sport, Shane used those moments not just for sport, but for connection, always drawing people in and making them feel seen.
For more than 30 years, Shane served faithfully at Central Baptist Church, leading youth, filming sermons, involved in small groups, and offering his time wherever there was a need. His humor, his fierce loyalty, and his God-given gift for “wheeling and dealing” made him a light in every room. He had a knack for finding the good in others and a heart eager to help them see it, too.
Shane is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Brandi, and their children, Jacob and Sarah; his parents, Clifford and Tina Lackey; his sister and brother-in-law, Jaquita and James Sizemore; his niece and nephew, Madison and Colton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Bro. Coby Duren and Bro. Robert Simpson officiating.  Services provided under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to KVNE or the Youth Ministry at Central Baptist Church, both close to Shane’s heart.
