A funeral service for Laura “Lolly” Allen, 79, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Bro. Daniel Allen officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Dialville.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 1, 2024, and the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Lolly was born on June 3, 1944, in Jacksonville, Texas to J.B. and Avis (Lankford) Kinney and stepped into the presence of Jesus on March 28, 2024. She was affectionately known as MaMaw, Lala, and Yaya by those who loved her. Lolly was the Valedictorian of Maydelle High School, Class of ’62. One of her greatest passions was loving on children, her own, and many others. This spilled over into her church service. She loved working in children’s Sunday school and VBS. She was a member of Tyler Street Baptist Church. She lived her life in service to others, whether providing a meal or a helping hand to anyone in need. Lolly was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, Glen Allen; 3 children she lost at birth; and brothers, Bud Kinney and Rodger Kinney.

Left to cherish Lolly’s memory are her children, Greg Allen and wife Cindy of Jacksonville, Deborah Jones and husband Jeff of Ponta, and Joshua Allen of Longview. She is also survived by her brother, Tony Kinney and wife Sissy of Lake Striker; sister-in-law, Linda Kinney of Tyler; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Allen, Colton Allen, Baylie Castleberry and husband Payton, and Makayla Jones; 2 great-grandchildren, Haidyn and Creed Castleberry; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Allen, Colton Allen, Larry Kinney, Kevin Kinney, Steve Goff, and Payton Castleberry. Lolly’s nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
