Members of the Jacksonville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) presented Jacksonville Police Chief Steven Markasky with a $42,000 donation to help cover cost of JPD’s purchase of new pistols equipped with red-dot optics, along with enhanced firearms training for officers, during a Dec. 9, 2025, Jacksonville City Council meeting.
